Experienced Baker and Pastry Chef, Part-time

 

Masha’s Bagels is looking for an experienced baker and pastry chef to join our team. You should have at least 2 years of experience as a baker making breads and pastries in a professional kitchen. Bonus points for familiarity with bagels and other Jewish breads and pastries (such as challah and rye). Flexible availability, especially in the early mornings, is also a must. 

 

You have:

 

  • Experience (at least 2 years) working in a bakery or professional kitchen that makes its own breads and baked goods

  • Ideally some familiarity with bagels and/or Jewish breads and pastries such as challah, babka, rugelach, etc. 

  • Experience writing and testing recipes for new breads and pastries

  • A can-do attitude: we are still a new shop and independently owned so making use of small spaces and finding ways of working with the equipment we have is essential 

  • Flexible availability, especially in the early mornings (shifts typically start at 6am) and on weekends

  • Fluent English skills (German not required, but it doesn’t hurt!)


 

We offer:

 

  • An hourly wage of €13,5 - 16 depending on experience with a full-contract (monthly salary is also possible)

  • 18 - 28 hours per week

  • Experience learning about NY deli cuisine and baking NY-style bagels

Barista/Server, Minijob or Midijob

 

Masha's Bagels and Delicatessen is looking for an experienced barista/server to work with our growing, international team. In this role, you would work behind the bar, making coffee drinks, operating the register, and serving food and beverages.

​

You have:

  • Experience working in food service (Barista experience a plus)

  • Availability on weekends during the day and a flexible schedule is a must

  • English and German skills 


We offer:

  • €12,5/hour with periodic performance-based raises starting after 6 months

Cook/Chef or Experienced Kitchen Assistant, Part-time

​

Masha's Bagels is looking for an experienced cook/chef or a kitchen assistant who is eager to learn and grow with the job. Ideally you have training as a cook or extensive experience working in professional kitchens. This position would be an integral part of our kitchen team. 

​

Required skills:

  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen as a chef, cook, or kitchen assistant 

  • Flexible availability weekends and weekdays during the day (shifts are 8 hours between the hours of 8am and 5pm)

  • Experience testing and creating recipes

  • Experience with catering is a bonus 

  • Fluent English skills (German not required, but it doesn't hurt)​

We offer:

  • An hourly wage of €13,5 - 17 depending on experience with a full-contract (monthly salary is also possible)

  • 24 - 34 hours per week

  • A collaborative working environment, with flexibility to experiment and help build a new, growing business 

  • A fun, international team

  • Experience learning about NY deli cuisine 

  • All the bagels you can eat!
